After living and working in a wide variety of geographic and legal environments -- including California, Texas, Arizona, Washington, Japan, Korea, and Singapore -- Harrison Colter and Ken Jennings met while serving in senior legal positions with Novell in Provo, Utah. After going their separate ways, each to serve as General Counsel for a publicly traded software company, Colter and Jennings met again decided that their in-house experience, coupled with major law-firm experience, produced a unique combination of skills that was unusual in the legal community and that would be of particular benefit to clients in emerging technology fields. Nathan Jennings joined the firm in 2004 and has quickly gained expertise in licensing and IP, working with the firm on transactions with major international software companies and business software users. Harrison Colter
Harrison Colter specializes in the area of technology and intellectual property law, including applications, licensing and litigation involving patents, trademarks and copyrights. He is a registered member of the U.S. Patent Bar. Mr. Colter is admitted to practice law in the states of California, Utah, Arizona and Texas. Mr. Colter was formerly the General Counsel of Caldera International, Inc., a publicly-traded company, and an Associate General Counsel for Novell, Inc. In his international career, Mr. Jennings has provided legal services related to joint ventures, licensing, and business structures to dozens of Fortune 500 companies.
