Leitrim had moved into a 0-4 to 0-2 lead over the Exiles by the end of the first quarter, with Ciaran Duignan putting over three frees for Des Dolan's men and Colm Regan scoring from play. Darragh Keneney hit two back for the hosts.
Four unanswered scores then gave the men from the west of Ireland a six-point lead, Duignan converting two more frees while Michael Foley put another free over and James Glancy was also on target.
However, a well-taken 35th-minute Chris Donnellan goal put London back in contention. But, Leitrim pulled away again before the interval after Donal Brennan shot to the left of the London net and Glancy hit over a point.
London reduced Leitrim's lead in the second period when sub Niall Clinton, Donnellan and Hehir hit a point each, while Chris Duignan replied by tapping over another free for the visitors.
The dismissal of Beirne in the 54th minute for a straight red card offence certainly hampered London's challenge for the remainder of the contest and Duignan increased Leitrim's lead with a point from play and a free by the 65th minute.
Following the dismissal of Hehir for a second yellow card indiscretion, a Niall Clinton goal at the end gave the scoreline a slightly more respectable look, but it was an easy win for Leitrim, who still have a lot of work to do before facing Galway in a Connacht semi-final on 24 June.
