Draw At Croker

Sunday, June 03

Dublin and Meath will have to meet again as nothing could separate the two sides in a pulsating Leinster SFC tie at Croke Park.

Substitute Cian Ward was the Meath hero, pointing a sideline kick from a tight angle in the 71st minute to ensure Leinster football's bitterest rivals will have to do battle again on the 17th June at the same venue.

Collie Moran scored what many believed to be the winner in the final minute of the game, when he fired over a close-range point after Shane Ryan lost possession.

Ward, however, spoiled the Dublin celebrations with his spectacular effort from the sideline on the Cusack Stand side. Alan Brogan had one last chance to win it for the Dubs, but he skied his effort on front of the Hill right at the death.
