Welcome to USJFCOM

You will be joining an elite team of professionals, and I am confident you will find your tour both challenging and rewarding.

U.S. Joint Forces Command is comprised of approximately 800 active duty military and civilian employees working with numerous defense contractors. The command's mission is to lead the transformation of the U.S. Armed Forces. Other key mission areas include joint experimentation, joint training and providing U.S.-based forces and capabilities to support other commanders-in-chief and domestic requirements.

To help make your transition to the Hampton Roads area as smooth as possible, visit the following website: www.dmdc.osd.mil/sites. This site highlights information on local schools, employment opportunities, housing, and military medical and dental facilities, and support services. It also provides useful information on local arts and entertainment venues, cultural attractions, shopping, recreation opportunities and much more.

Once again, congratulations on your assignment.
