Americas Favorite Quiz Show, and the winner of 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, more than any other syndicated
game show, begins its 20th season as the nations #1 quiz show on Monday, September
8, 2003. This Fall, the blockbuster series will introduce groundbreaking changes to its
rules, tape shows on location at one of America's most prestigious college campuses and
launch a wide variety of on-air surprises throughout the year.
For the first time this season, the sky is the limit for Jeopardy!
champions, with new rules permitting a returning champion to make unlimited consecutive
appearances. For the past 19 seasons, Jeopardy! winners could return to compete on
the program for a maximum of five days before retiring undefeated. Now, the champion will
be invited back to the show with no restriction on the number of times he or she can
repeat as champion. As the champion keeps winning, he or she keeps accumulating more money
- ensuring more classic Jeopardy! competition.

Jeopardy! will continue to demonstrate the broad range of its
appeal by producing a wide variety of its trademark theme week episodes, starting with the
fifth annual Back to School Week, featuring competition among 10, 11 and 12
year-olds. This years College Championship will be taped at Yale University,
marking the series first-ever taping on an Ivy League campus. Fifteen
students from colleges across the country will test their smarts during the two-week
contest, which airs in November. In addition to Kids Week and the annual Teen
Tournament, a variety of other special competitions will be announced throughout the
Jeopardy!, Americas Favorite Quiz Show , was
