Ever
since they have played at the Recreation Ground sited on Aldershot
High Street (Pitch: 116 yards x 76 yards) . "The Rec" as it
is affectionately known has a regular ground capacity of 7,500.
However for one-off events there is an opportunity to increase
this upon agreement with the relevant authorities.

The highest attendance for an Isthmian
League Cup Final was achieved when a crowd of 3,511 watched the
game between Aldershot Town and Kingstonian on May 6th 1996 at
the Recreation Ground.
The highest attendance for a Hampshire
Senior Cup Final was achieved when a crowd of 4,092 watched the
game between Aldershot Town and Bashley on May 8th 2003 at St
Marys, Southampton.
When
Aldershot Town were elected to Isthmian League Division 3 for
the 1992-93 season, they were the first team ever accepted straight
into this League.
Steve Wignall became the first ever manager
to win successive "Manager of the Month" awards in the Isthmian
League. He won the award in August/September and October 1992
and was also voted Division 3 "Manager of the Year".
Grant Payne is the only Aldershot Town player
to score a hat-trick on his debut, doing so against Enfield (A)
in the Isthmian League Premier Division on November 13th 1999.
Julian Thompson became the first Aldershot
Town substitute to score on his debut, doing so against Brading
Town (H) in the Hampshire Senior Cup 2nd Round on November 1st
2001.
Mark Butler has the unfortunate distinction
of being the first Aldershot Town player to be sent off. He was
dismissed against Atherton Laburnum Rovers (H) in the FA Vase
Quarter-Final on February 26th 1994.
Mark Butler became the first Aldershot Town
player to gain representative honours when he played for an Isthmian
League XI v Combined Services on February 8th 1994.
Nikki Bull became the first Aldershot
Town player to gain international representative honours
when he played (as a substitute) for the National Game XI against
Belgium on February 11th 2003. Roscoe D’Sane made his international
debut later in the same game.
Mark
Watson (fwd) has the unfortunate distinction of being the first
Aldershot Town player to be sent off on his debut. He was dismissed
against Enfield (H) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on
August 18th 2001. Later that season, Adam Parker became the first
substitute to be sent off on his debut when he was dismissed against
Grays Athletic (A) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on
September 15th 2001.
Dominic Sterling has the unfortunate distinction
of being the only Aldershot Town player to be sent off in successive
games. He was dismissed against Bournemouth Poppies (H) in the
Hampshire Senior Cup 3rd Round on December 3rd 2002 and again
against Purfleet (H) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on
December 7th 2002.
Adam Parker has the unusual distinction
of being sent off playing against and for Aldershot Town within
the space of 7 days. He was sent off against Aldershot Town whilst
playing for Hitchin Town (A) in the Isthmian League Premier Division
on September 8th 2001 and for Aldershot Town (on his debut) against
Grays Athletic (A) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on
September 15th 2001.
From the start of their inaugural season,
Aldershot Town went 20 months (35 games) before suffering their
first home League defeat, eventually losing 1:2 to Banstead Athletic
in Isthmian League Division 2 on April 7th 1994.
Aldershot Town's run of 10 consecutive
wins in 1992-93 is the best start to a season in the Isthmian
League.
Mark Watson (gk) was the first player to
join Aldershot Town for a fee when he signed from Camberley Town
for £1,000 in November 1992.
Steve Harris was the first player to leave
Aldershot Town for a fee when he signed for Basingstoke Town for
£2,000 in July 1994.
Aldershot Town were part of a FIFA experiment
during the 1994-95 season when the Isthmian League and minor leagues
in Belgium and Hungary were used to try out the kick-in as an
alternative to the throw-in.
During the 1998-99 season, Aldershot Town
scored 53 goals in 21 home League games. This was the most goals
scored that season in senior football in the United Kingdom.
Grant Payne is the only player ever to
score a hat-trick on his debut. He scored 4 goals against Enfield
(A) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on November 13th 1999.
Gary Abbott is the only player to score
5 goals in the Hampshire Senior Cup Final, doing so against Andover
(at Basingstoke Town FC) on May 8th 2000. With Mark Bentley scoring
3 goals, it was the first time that two players had scored hat-tricks
in the Final.
Stafford Browne is the only player to score
a hat-trick in his final game for Aldershot Town, doing so in
a 3:1 win against Havant and Waterlooville in the Hampshire Senior
Cup Final (at Southampton FC) on May 1st 2002 before joining Grays
Athletic in the close season. Browne later re-joined Aldershot
Town from Saint Albans City mid-way through the following season.
Roscoe D’Sane is the only player to score
2 penalties in a game, doing so on 2 occasions - in a 2:1 win
against Bedford Town (H) in the Isthmian League Premier Division
on February 8th 2003 and again in a 3:1 win against Halifax Town
(H) in the Football Conference on October 11th 2003.
Nikki Bull is the only goalkeeper ever to score
for Aldershot Town, doing so from the penalty spot in a 6:2 win
against Hendon (H) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on
April 26th 2003.
Roscoe D’Sane became the first black player
to captain the England semi-professional team,
doing so against Belgium in a Friendly (at Darlington FC) on November
4th 2003.
When Louie Soares played for Barbados v Trinidad
& Tobago on January 12th 2007 he became the first player to
represent his country (earning a full cap) whilst playing for
the Shots.
Aldershot Town have won the Hampshire Cup at
4 different venues. Both of Southampton's grounds (The Dell and
St Marys), Basingstoke's Camrose ground and Bournemouths Fitness
First stadium.
