Tornado strikes Philippines

A tornado claimed the life of one man and caused damage to a number of houses when it struck San Antonio town in Zambales, Philippines, ABS CBN News reports on August 10th.
Governor of the region Amor Deloso said that the man had been in one of the destroyed houses when the tornado hit the area.
As many as 20 families were left homeless and a number of areas were flooded following heavy rainfall induced by tropical storm Wutip.
Earlier this week, heavy rains led to landslides that killed several people in the Philippines, the Associated Press reports.
