The first points of the 2007-'08 NHL season are at stake Saturday when the Los Angeles Kings get first crack at taking down the Stanley Cup-champion Anaheim Ducks. The Kings and Ducks meet again Sunday as the NHL plays its first-ever regular-season games in Europe before a sold-out crowd at the new 02 Arena. Regular-season games in North America get going next Wednesday.

Kings wins Swedish exhibition tournament

Anze Kopitar scored with 46 seconds remaining to give the Los Angeles Kings a 4-3 win over Swedish champions Farjestad BK on Wednesday in the final of an exhibition tournament.

Kopitar nets three as Kings edge Salzburg

Anze Kopitar scored three goals Tuesday to help the Los Angeles Kings rally for a 7-6 win over Red Bull Salzburg in an exhibition tournament.
