My dear friend, the reverend Kevin D. Quitt, will be celebrating his birthday on Friday. We at Castle Infinity have watched him grow up for the past fifty six hundred years, and would like to see some of you in the game celebrating with us!
CHEEEE-ZOWIE! I've heard that there's a new race being planned for June 29th at 7:00 PM in EST. For more information and answers to questions, check out the topic in the forum.
Michael Casadevall has been reinstated as an Architect of Infinity effective immeditately. With any luck, we'll soon be ready to mend the remaining issues, and make the Castle Infinity experience better for all.
In other news, the registeration system has been repaired, so new users can join the fight against the monsters
March 31st - Races!
It looks like we've got another race coming up kids!
This race will take place on March 31st! The IOs would like for everyone to get there at 7:00pm est, because it would be best to start at 7:30pm est.
So what are you waiting for kids? Get in there and start practicing!
Several changes have recently occurred within Castle Infinity itself. Greg Kumparak has left as lead designer of Infinity, and Michael Casadevall has been reinstated as Project Manager.
As such, Castle Infinity is actively seeking new staff. We realize the recent changes have caused many of us to lose faith in us, but we're working to try and change that. As such, a new position has been formally created: The Infinity Organizer. Infinity Organizers (IO for short) manage things such as races, promotion of the game, and day to day issues such as handling bug reports. I'm pleased to annouce our new IOs:
On that note, it's also come to our attention that Castle Infinity is not compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista. Since Visual Studio itself is not compatible with Vista, it will be some time before we can release a Vista-compatible version of C8. Until then, be aware that we will not be able to support anyone running on Vista. If you are able to get the game to work within Vista, we'll be interested in knowing how you did it.
Build 35 ...
I'm pleased to annouce the release of Build 35 to the general public. Although the actual build was released on New Years Eve, we're simply getting around to posting it here. Due to the extreme amount of time between updates, some of you have noticed that, while Build 35 has new features like the HUD (which can be toggled with Ctrl-F12), and item selection/stash (F7/F8 respectively) that a few new bugs that been introduced. Regrettfully, Club Infinity is down for repairs, and Hrozz has managed to secure her lair from attack. The dinosaurs inform me they are working to correct this as we speak. I've also been informed serveral clients have gotten a bad version of Infrared update. If you haven't seen your client update or you don't have the HUD, please reinstall at your earliest convience, or see the thread Kevin Quitt posted in the forums - we still be disabling the old client on January 5th 2007. Sorry for any inconvience.
It has come to the attention of the Castle Infinity staff that certain Designers have been claiming to create artwork and parts that they didn't. We have a high moral code, and this kind of behavor will not be tolerated. The individual who was doing this has been warned, and from here on out, anyone claiming credit for within C8 that they did not create will be heavily punished, and their status may be removed, or banished depending on the serverity of the offense.
Guess What We Found!
Thought lost in the sands of time, Szabo has (with the assistance of NCommander) gone into the depths of the monster world and successfully retrieved a copy of the website!
Castle Infinity is temporarily down for maintenance. We're going to go ahead and blast a few monsters out of the system on our side, in hopes of making Castle Infinity a better place for everyone. Check back for more news over the next few days!
Sonic McTails has joined us as the newest Architect of Infinity! Please join us in congratulating him!
We now have an acceptable use policy for Castle Infinity. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us.
See you in the game!
Castle Infinity is back up and running. Thanks for your patience.
We have been forced to temporarily close Castle Infinity as a result of some technical problems. It will be back as soon as we can manage.
Sorry for the late notice kids--the architects have been to wrapped up in working on the latest update, and forgot to check the calendar. The races will be moved to next week. Be sure to come, as there will be a special prize for the fastest kid.
This week's races!
This week's races are substantially harder—they're through the basement! Remember, Friday at 6:00 PST. Be there!
The official Castle Infinity forums are now up! Check them out on the left sidebar!
Just a reminder, folks: the bimonthly races are taking place again this evening at 6:00 PST! There are once again some great prizes to win; it'll be fun for one and all. Good luck, everyone.
Rules, rules, rules.
Hello to all and sundry!
We've got some new rules that need following. You can read them here.
Hiya kids! We've got some great news for ya.
The races are back, at long last, complete with prizes! You can find the details here. Good look, and may the best mammal win!
Oh, also... this place is 65 million years old, and it's got a few loopholes here and there. If you find a way to do something that you shouldn't normally be able to do, please tell Stella or one of the Architects. We'll be eternally grateful if you do! What we don't want to see is anyone abusing loopholes in order to get parts, hats, high scores, pudding, or other goodies. Because then we'll have to banish them, and we really don't want to do that.
The excavation team has made a startling discovery in the basement. It seems that an ancient, long-forgotten sector had been sealed off, possibly for decades. After half of the exploration team was wiped out, it would seem obvious why this was the case. Do you have what it takes to explore this dark corridor and discover what lies beyond it?
I've also heard that many of you new mammals are very confused about what you're supposed to be doing and how to do it, so the Squad will be opening up a fancy, bigger new Training Track for you in just a bit.
Finally, I've been told that many of you are getting kicked off the Castle or are otherwise having technical issues. Those silly mammals who run the link that connects you here are working on it (so they say - there are limits to mammalian cognizance!). They hope to have that fixed soon. We'll see.
Throw open the doors!
Greetings, mammals! I'm Rodney, and I'm here to tell you that Castle Infinity is back and better than ever. For the past few years, we've been having a lot of trouble -- there just haven't been enough of you guys around to get rid of the monsters, and the Security Squad has been opening new rooms at approximately the land speed of a Vungus.
But all that's over now! Hopefully! Everybody's been scrambling around in here to bring you a bigger and better Castle. Over the coming months, we'll be opening a lot of new areas, enhancing the program that connects you to the Castle for improved teamwork and monster-smashing capabilities, tripling the amount of limburger in the reactor core, and maybe even outfitting you mammals with a few new items!
