The slaughter of the inhabitants of Wola continues from the so-called “Black Saturday”, August 5, to August 7. Its main purpose is to terrorize the civilians and to break the resistance of insurgents. Approximately 40 thousand people fall victim to mass murders, executed by firing squad throughout the whole district. Corpses are burned. The slaughter ends with Hitler’s order to send the captured civilians to concentration camps or direct them to forced labor.
