Lil Wayne Makes Babies, Love & Hip Hop
Oh sh*t ya’ll. The interview with hip hop prodigy Lil Wayne in the upcoming issue of Vibe is gonna be money. How money you ask? Try this gem - in which Wayne talks about his relationship with his first wife and baby-mamma - out for size:
“…I was on tour like crazy with Cash Money, and my momma said she was bored, alone, and scared in the house by herself. She was like, ‘Why don’t you just have a baby with somebody? Just tell the little girl’s mom I’ma take care of the baby, don’t worry about that.’ I was like, ‘I don’t have nobody I like like that!’ She was like, ‘Just find somebody! You don’t like Toya?’ I was like, ‘Alright, I like her then.’ Toya was 14 when she got pregnant, and I was 15 asking 14-year-olds. Toya’s the only person that agreed outta all the ones I asked. I said that my momma wants a child. And they was like, ‘That’s your momma’s problem!’ So Toya was like, ‘Shiiit, when we due, boo?’”
I have a feeling Britney Spears had this same exact convo with K-Fed at some point.
Toya, who Lil Wayne eventually married (and divorced), doesn’t quite see it the same way. But her boring story (which is probably the real account of how things went down) just isn’t as fun. You know what is fun in that way too much info sort of way? Karinne Steffans description of her and Wayne’s boot knockin’. She says, “…We make love and it’s … amazing. It’s quiet. It’s slow. It’s full-contact. There’s no, ‘Flip over. Put your leg over here.’ It’s just two hearts. I can feel my heart beating against his heart, his whole body is wrapped around mine, and it’s us breathing together.”
Wayne also has told her the song “Prostitute” is her song and their “relationship.” Spoken like a guy who got a girl preggs to make a toy for his mama. [Vibe via Crunk&Disorderly]

So, is this a reason to support teenage pregnancy? What about morals & values? I was a teenager parent now with a 17 yr old son, & there is no way in hell I would suggest or condone this type of behavior. I can’t even imagine suggesting something like this to my son. Where is the common sense in that? Regardless if he had money or not, what about the emotional & physical stress that happens when young teenage female gives birth?
No disrespect to his mother, but I am sure she could have found something else to do with her time. A charity event maybe or volunteer her time @ the shelter, or heck maybe even getting pregnant herself…. Hello!
So many woman fall into this trap thinking that a baby will solve all of their problems-not! Money or no money is never a reason to suggest a planned teenage pregnancy.
Raising children takes two parents with financial support, maturity, common sense, patience, unconditional love etc. I can see why the marriage did not work.
The teenage cycle continues…

If Lil Wayne was being honest about his mother telling him she wanted him to go out and find someone to have a baby with I think that that was wrong of her. She wasn’t thinking logically like a responsible adult to tell her teenage son to go out there and have unprotected premarital sex in order to give her a grand child. I mean how selfish and ridiculous is that? That’s the main reason why babies shouldn’t have babies. They don’t tend to instill the right values in their kids. As for Toya, I commend her on not throwing dirt on her baby’s father. She could have been vengeful and malicious by saying things that would discredit him and damage his reputation. I mean up until this point, I haven’t heard her say anything about him. The most important thing is what in in the child’s best interest which definitely is not having their parents at each others throats. To everyone concerned and involved, keep ya head up.
