Harvest Festival Begins Today!

Perhaps the smallest and least known of the holiday events, The Harvest Festival begins today, running from Sept. 24th to the 30th. The event itself consists of a few tables with tasty food and some ghosts outside of Ogrimmar and Ironforge. One of the NPCs outside each capital city has a quest to honor your ancestors, which sends you off to find either Uther's Tomb (for Alliance) or a Monument to Grom Hellscream (for Horde). The eventual reward is the almighty Bounty of the Harvest, which conjures up four pieces of Harvest Bread, which restore 2% life every second, a god-send to warriors with massive health pools who find themselves eating two or three pieces of food at a time.

While Uther's Tomb is a staple for both Alliance and Horde, and thusly easy to locate, here's a quick pictorial on how to find the somewhat mysterious Monument to Grom Hellscream in Demon Fall Canyon in Ashenvale.

While some Horde players may have stumbled upon it while doing this quest, the general consensus in Ogrimmar seemed to be that nobody had any clue where to go.

Lastly, as Platonic on the LiveJournal World of Warcraft community informs us, Draenei and Blood Elves can't complete the quest. Apparently their fallen heroes aren't being recognized quite yet.
