Murdoch is new director at camp
November 17, 2006


G. Lee Murdoch has been appointed to the position of Council Program Director at Henson Scout Reservation, a camp located near Galestown.

An Eagle Scout originally from Easton, Murdoch has nine years of experience on the Henson summer camp staff, a B.S. degree in Recreation and Parks Management from Frostburg University, and a master’s degree in recreation management from Indiana University. Since graduation, Murdoch has been working as a Recreation Specialist with the Washington D.C. Parks and Recreation Department. He will be serving as the Henson Resident Director and Property Superintendent as well as Staff Advisor to the Council Activities & Civic Service Committee.

Former Henson Resident Director Ray Teat has been selected to serve as the Del-Mar-Va Council Director of Support Services. Also an Eagle Scout, and long time employee at Henson Scout Reservation, Ray will be responsible for providing leadership to all of the Council program functions, including both Henson and Rodney Scout Reservations, adult leader training, and youth rank advancement.
