Born in London back in 1976, Memnos grew up in Tottenham. Profoundly Deaf from birth he attended Sir Winston Churchill School for the Deaf till 13years old, then moved on to Burwood Park School for the Deaf leaving at 16. Memnos was born to Cypriot Parents and through annual summer holidays spent in Cyprus, remains close to his cultural past.
Sign Language is life to Memnos and he is prodigiously talented. Along with many other deaf children, he learnt sign despite it being banned in school. Playtimes were a chance to express themselves as opposed to the Oralist hell of the classroom. School still holds many fears for Memnos!
Memnos began his acting career at the age of 12, starring at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. His television career started at 16 with the BBC's See Hear! and alongside appearing in various other programmes, has worked as a regular presenter for them ever since.
Today he lives in Essex with his Wife and two daughters.
