Education - take pART

take pART is a long term programme of initiatives inspired by and made for the waterways that aims to bring together artists, local young people and other community groups to produce high quality, collaborative art works for their local environment.  take pART objectives.

Each take pART initiative involves two groups of 25-30 young people or adults. Each group collaborates with an artist for 2.5 days of workshops. The artist uses the work produced during the workshops directly or as inspiration towards the production of the final piece/s.

At the end of each initiative there is a launch of the artwork and an exhibition of the work done by the participants.

Each initiative is documented fully and an explanatory brochure is produced.

take pART works with people from the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Haringey and Enfield.
