Preparations

In July 2006 South Africa hosted a competition with men's and ladies teams from Ireland. On scores alone, South Africa won the competition but both sides found the competition enjoyable and benefited from developing player skills and international relations. A reciprocal visit by South Africa is on the drawing board. Earlier in 2006 Zimbabwe toured against South Africa with men's and ladies A and B sides. The series was won by South Africa. Polocrosse South Africa is currently considering touring Zimbabwe later in 2006 as a further preparation for its 2007 World Cup campaign.

The Polocrosse Association of South Africa (PASA) was formed in 1972 and continues to grow in poularity.

There are almost 600 affiliated members and 32 polocrosse clubs in South Africa - to learn more click here.
