The regulator Ofcom has announced their decision regarding the new national digital licence and the news is disappointing for Premier Radio.
National Grid Wireless were not awarded the licence, and because we were part of that bid it means Premier must still look and pray for a national digital radio broadcasting platform.
Whilst we are quite disappointed with Ofcom’s decision, we do believe that God is directing us and continue to trust Him and His plan for Premier. We want to thank you for supporting the bid – almost 72,000 Premier listeners stepped up and made their voices heard!
So let’s turn our attention to the future, and as we do we'd like to ask for your help: Please encourage your family and friends to listen to Premier - on Medium Wave and digital radio in London, and on Freeview, Sky or Virgin across the UK. The more listeners we have, the greater the opportunities to grow the Christian voice across the country.
Please also pray that the Lord will direct us as we continue to serve Him.
Peter Kerridge, CEO of Premier Media Group, and Tony Moretta, Head of National Grid Wireless, deliver 71,961 statements of support to the Ofcom offices.
