What is rimming?

Dear Reader,

Rimming is oral sex -- licking, tonguing, sucking, kissing someone's anus. FYI: the partner with the active tongue is at risk for contracting intestinal parasites that can cause serious health problems. HIV transmission to the performer is possible, although not likely, if there is any blood in the receiver's rectum that comes into contact with the lining of the mouth. Safer rimming can be done with non-microwaveable plastic wrap, a condom that has been split down the middle, or a dam.
