The D.I.C.E. The Academy has over 10,000 members, with the board comprised of senior executives from companies including Bioware/Pandemic, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony and Ubisoft.
GameSpot vice president Josh Larson said, “With games now seen as a truly mainstream entertainment medium, the gaming industry is due to have an awards event that possesses the credibility on par with the Oscars or Emmys. Not only will GameSpot give gamers access to this exclusive event through our live broadcast, we will also enhance their experience even further by providing the fun, interactive elements they enjoy.”
