This comprehensive renovation project involved updating this 1930's-era facility through the design of a 1,500-bather-capacity aquatic center that features a 680-square-foot addition to the existing bathhouse and a new 1,500-square-ft. concession/filter building. Aquatic components introduced include a 13,000-square ft zero-depth-edge activity pool,a 3,000-square ft lap pool, a 1,000-square-ft. "deep hopper," and a "feature island" containing a three-meter dive platform and two drop slides. Additional pool ammenities include various water play feature, a raised terrace and shade elements. This project was recognized with a 2005 Illinois Parks & Recreation Association Outstanding Facility and Park Award.

The significant renovation project called for the design of a 1,500-bather-capacity-facility that accommodates additional parking, a 6,000-square ft bathhouse/admissions/guard building, a 1,400-square ft. concessions building, and a 2,000 square ft. mechanical/filter building. Aquatic components include a 9,000-square-foot zero-depth-edge activity pool; a 2,300-square-foot splash pool/“waterworks” pool, a 2,000-square-ft. “kiddie” pool, a 4,500-square ft. lap pool, and a 1,575-square ft. deep hopper. Also included is a concrete stair tower for the drop slides, two body flume slides, a three-meter dive board and a one-meter dive board. Additional pool amenities include various water play features, a sun hill and shade elements. The project was recognized with a 2005 Illinois Parks & Recreation Association Outstanding Facility and Park Award.

Carpentersville, Ill.

Dolphins Cove Aquatic Center is an eight-acre water park that offers a zero-depth 1,500-bather-capacity pool with a plunge water slide, lazy river, sand play area, inner tube slide, concessions areas and other play amenities.

This project received the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association Outstanding Facility and Parks Award in 2001.

Skokie Park District
Devonshire Park Aquatic Center
Skokie, Ill.

Devonshire Park Aquatic Facility features a zero-edge pool, four-lane lap pool, diving tank for a one-meter board and drop slide, a spray play structure with safety surface, sun and shade turf, and a volleyball court. The bathhouse mimics the surrounding residential character and blends into the serene forested background.

West Chicago Park District
Prairie Oaks Aquatic Center

West Chicago, Ill.

The Prairie Oaks Aquatic Center is a 1,500-bather zero edge pool with a six-lane 25-yard lap pool, kiddy water slide, water spray play feature, waterfall, tube and body flume water slides, a sand play area, two sand volleyball courts, a concession deck and sun hill turf area.

 Wheaton Park District
Rice Pool and Water Park

Wheaton, Ill.

Rice Pool and Water Park has more than 200 feet of zero-depth edge, one of the first pools with this feature in Illinois. Also included is a six-lane competition lap pool, diving well, water slides, and an inner tube slide. Surrounded by extensive decking, concession, sun turf and sand play areas, the park is a focal point of Wheaton Park District summer activities. Wheaton Park District and the Rice Pool and Water Park are the recipients of the 1990 National Park and Recreation Association Gold Medal Award, and the 1991 National Park and Recreation Association Excellence in Aquatics Award.

Wilmette Park District
Centennial Park Family Aquatic Center

Wilmette, Ill.

Centennial Park is a 1,645-bather capacity water park that features a new bathhouse, zero-edge activity pool, eight-lane 50-meter lap pool, diving hopper, wading pool and concessions deck.  Water play features include two 20-foot high activity slides, two 12-foot-high drop slides, a tot slide and an interactive water play feature.

Woodridge Park District
Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Center

Woodridge, Ill.

Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park is an eight-acre water park designed with a Louisiana bayou theme. The 1,500-bather, 12,000-square-foot zero-depth pool features a six-lane lap pool; 12-foot deep diving tank for the 10-foot-high drop slide and one meter diving board; water bubblers; and a tot slide. There is also a 600-linear-foot, 13-foot wide "lazy river" winding through a large portion of the park.

Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park is the recipient of the 1999 National Recreation & Park Association Excellence in the Aquatic Award,  the 1997 Illinois Parks and Recreation Association Outstanding Aquatic Facility Award as well as the 1998 Daniel Flaherty Park Excellence Recognition Award.

Lisle Park District
Sea Lion Aquatic Park Facility 

Lisle, Ill.

Sea Lion Aquatic Park is a 1,200 bather load capacity water park that features a large zero-edge leisure pool, a 25-yard, six lane lap pool, two waterslides with a plunge pool and a "waterworks" pool with a two drop slides and various waterplay features.

Lisle's Sea Lion Aquatic Park has been named Illinois Parks and Recreation 2004 Outstanding Facility of the year
