LYNX will introduce scheduling and routing changes to improve service and on-time performance for several Links on the fixed-route bus system, starting Sunday, Aug. 19. The changes include 20-minute service for Link 25 Monday through Friday and 30-minute service on Link 30 Monday through Saturday.
Below is a summary of all the changes.
Link 2 from Colonial Plaza is departing at :30 after the hour, and arriving at LYNX Central Station at :50 after the hour.
Link 5 routing, departure time and bay assignment (moves to Bay ‘N’) have changed. Service has been added.
Link 11 and 15 added evening service on Sunday.
Link 25 will see its day service improve to every 20 minutes Monday through Friday. Evening service has been added on Saturday and Sunday.
Link 30 will have 30-minute service Monday through Saturday and 60-minute service on Sundays.
Link 37 routing has changed, but no stops are affected.
On Link 47, the hourly clockwise-counterclockwise rotation will change to become one-directional every hour. The stop that was on Mitchell Hammock Road just east of Aloma Avenue will move a few hundred yards to Aloma Avenue just north of Mitchell Hammock Road.
Link 50 will service the Westside Disney Transfer Station. A morning and evening trip have been added. Two permanent LYNX bus stops will be installed on Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
Link 54 will be routed on Old Winter Garden Road past Hiawassee Road to Blackwood Avenue, and then continue to West Oaks Mall. It departs from the Mall 15 minutes earlier. It moves to Bay ‘M’ at LCS.
Links 23, 28, 29, 40, 48, 49, 50 and 54 have added time to each trip to improve on-time performance. This affects arrival times and connections at LCS and along their routes.
Links 4, 11, 13, 39, 40, and 43 have minor schedule changes to improve on-time performance.
