The Philippine National Red Cross is announcing a vacancies for a:

1. PROGRAM OFFICER position, which is contractual  in nature under the Office of the  International Relations Office. The  position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • A  graduate of a Bachelor's degree in law;
  • Knowledge of Disaster Management and International Relations;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Having done volunteer work in the Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;
  • A pleasing personality and positives work and attitudes;
2. CADET TRAINING PROGRAM 
     A rigorous 12 month entry level classroom and on-the-job training program leading to a management career in humanitarian service. 

MInimum qualifications Sought:
  • Preferably College Graduates: advanced studies an advantage;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Filipino and English: additional language skills an advantage;
  • Highly motivated, industrious and dedicated: willing to work beyond regular hours under adverseconditions during disaster operations: willing to be assigned outside of Metro Manila;
  • Excellent physical and psychological conditions;
  • Excellent leadership potentials;
  • Excellent record of integrity and good character;
  • Fresh graduates with above average scholastic performance and a commitment to build a career in humanitarian work are welcome to apply.

3. LEGAL OFFICER position under the Office of the Secretary General. The position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Member of the Philippine Bar;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Having done volunteer work in the Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • A pleasing personality and positive work attitude;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;

4. Community Health and Nursing Service is opening a position, which is contractual in nature, that of a CHAPTER PROJECT COORDINATOR for Camarines Sur Chapter project. The position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Ability to work closely and corporate with the local authorities, community leaders, and relevant personnel of the area;
  • Very good command of English in speaking, writing and reporting;
  • Good command of PC (word and excel at least);
  • Excellent command of local language;
  • Excellent communication skills including the skill to chair community meetings and discussion with stakeholders of the Project;
  • Having done volunteer work in the Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • A pleasing personality and positive work attitude;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;
5. CHAPTER ADMINISTRATOR position, which is permanent in nature in COMPOSTELA VALLEY CHAPTER. The  position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:
  • A  College Degree holder, preferably in the field of social sciences or allied medical courses with masteral units or degree;
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity;
  • With working knowledge in finance, fund generation and other administrative functions; 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Having done volunteer work in the Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;
  • A pleasing personality and positives work and attitudes;

6. IT MANAGER
 The position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of BS Computer Science or any related course;
  • Must have at least 5 years work related experience; 2 years of which is in a supervisory/ managerial capacity;
  • Must have an advanced knowledge in Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic.Net, ASP.Net;
  • Must have an extensive experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Crystal Report 8.5 and above, Open source (Firebird) ODBC/ Connection String;
  • Knowledgeable in WEB Developing using HTML, XHTML, CSS/XML, INTRANET/PORTAL, PHP/MYSQL, MS SQL 2005;
  • Must have an experience in Servers using WINDOWS 2000/2003: Primary Domain Controller/AD, Application Server, Database Server, Proxy Server, Firewall, Web Server/ Mail Server, Exchange Server, Load Balancing RAS (Remote Access Server), LAN/WAN;

            Interested applicants who do not exactly fit the above mentioned qualifications may also apply for the IT SUPPORT STAFF position. 

7. INFORMATION EDITOR position, which is permanent in nature, under the Communications Office. The  position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:
  • Completion of a four (4) year college course with strong writing ability. Preferred courses include Journalism and or Mass Communication;
  • At least one year experience in a related field; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Having done volunteer work in the Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;
  • A pleasing personality and positives work and attitudes;

8. COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
 The position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least  a Bachelor's/ College Degree or Post Graduate Diploma /Master's Degree in Mass Communications, Advertising/ Media, Humanities/ Liberal Arts, Linguistics/ Languages or equivalent;
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for his position; 2 years of which is in a supervisory/ managerial capacity;
  • Must have excellent customer skills in a service industry or environment; With proven track record of organizing successful marketing events, execution of strategic projects as well as driving the implementation of marketing objectives across organizations/ functions;
  • Must be creative and proficient in Powerpoint with some Graphic Design knowledge and must have excellent prsentation skills;
  • Should be able to effectively manage a team through strong and motivational leadership: Must be proactive and results oriented; With ability to work autonomously, tolerance to ambiguity, with analytical and decision making/ problem solving skills;
  • Knowledge in Tagalog, Filipino and other Foreign Languages is a plus factor (both written and spoken);
  • Applicants must be willing to travel;
  • Should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status;
  • Preferably Assistant Manager/ Managers specializing in Public Relations/ Communications or equivalent;
  • Must have skills in internet/ emails and website PRs;
  • Must have knowledge in Corporate Communication Plan Development;

8. CHAPTER ADMINISTRATOR - CAVITE CHAPTER
 The position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • A College Degree holder, preferably in the field of social sciences or allied medical courses with masteral units or degree;
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity;
  • With working knowledge in finance, fund generation, and other administrative functions;
  • Having done volunteer work in Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;
  • A pleasing personality and positive work attitudes;

8. MANAGER
 The position is open to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • A College Degree holder, preferably in the field of social sciences and/or Education;
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in such or related capacity;
  • Having done volunteer work in the Red Cross is an added advantage;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • In good physical and medical condition as certified by a physician;
  • A pleasing personality and positive work attitudes;
