Q-Tip Is Returns with The Renaissance in December
A Tribe Called Quest legend, Q-tip is finalizing his upcoming album, The Renaissance. Can He Bring Hip-Hop Back?
The Abstract has plans to drop The Renaissance on December 18. His plan is to re-awaken the generation which is HipHop by addressing the state of America, the rap game and other social issues which are being slept on.
Tip is coming hard with this album and listeners are not to expect anything subtle.
Tip told SOHH, “I felt that music overall is in need of some sort of awakening, I’m going to surprise you.”
When Amplified dropped in ‘99 Qtip got mad airplay with classic joints such as “Breathe n Stop” and “Vivrant Thing”.
He recent appearance on Busta Rhymes‘ Big Bang Theory was reflective and mature and despite the Tribe reunion tour last year Q says there is not going to be an official reunion on the group. Additionally Q-Tip has been producing for the Wu-Tang Clan.
The Renaissance Seems like its going to be a critical and important release for HipHop. Be sure to look out for it.
