Recent Lighthouse tweaks

Wow, it’s been a busy few months. On the Warehouse front, we’ve been rapidly churning out bug fixes for Warehouse 1.1 (more on the awesome hooks and plugins later once we’re comfortable with removing the ‘beta’ label). As for Lighthouse, we’ve had a few annoying problems that have been fixed this week.

I’ve held on to Warehouse 1.1 for way too long, so I’m going ahead and releasing it. Keep in mind that I consider this BETA quality. So, if you don’t want to take a chance, please keep away for a good 1.1.1 release. This is mainly for the folks interested in possibly extending Warehouse.

Warehouse Subversion Browser Released!

Subversion is much more than just check in and check out. With all those revisions comes a wealth of information that you need to know on a daily basis, and having a quick and user friendly way to view that information is important. In addition to that wealth of information, you've also got administrative task such as permission management that can be time consuming and mundane. Imagine having a way to gracefully handle permissions or seeing the complete history of a file with source code highlighting back to it's inception. We did, and thats why we created Warehouse.

We're going to the Lone Star Ruby Conf!

I just got accepted to present at the Lone Star Ruby Conf in Austin, TX from Sept 7-8th. It’s been a drag missing out on the great conferences this year, but I’m going to try to make up for it that weekend. I’m slated to talk about Managing Attachments in Rails, and I think Justin and I will be doing a lightning demo on Lighthouse.
