Less than three months after being hired by the magazine as executive editor, Sacha Cohen has resigned from Capitol File magazine, FishbowlDC has learned.

Praver Named NPR Executive VP and COO

NPR announced yesterday that Mitch Praver, "a longtime broadcast and digital media executive, has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer ... Praver begins October 29 and will report to Stern. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of NPR, including its programming, finance and administration, technology and digital media units and will oversee its business initiatives."

Simmons Replaces Blankley As TWT Editorial Page Editor

bilde.jpgThe Washington Times today announced that deputy editorial page editor Deborah Simmons will replace Tony Blankley as editorial page editor. As we reported last month, Blankley left the position to join Edelman and the Heritage Foundation (his column will continue to run in the Times and he'll continue his work on the McLaughlin Group and NPR).

Reiss To Replace Haddad On "Hardball"?

TVNewser reports that John Reiss is on the shortlist to replace Tammy Haddad as executive producer of "Hardball."

Reiss was let go as NBC Nightly News executive producer in March by Brian Williams and we hear that it was a rather rough split.

Question: Does Chris Matthews even want an E.P.? Would he prefer to run the show himself? Could he run it by himself?
