Welcome to El Dorado!

El Dorado Nature Preserve is a 360-acre area managed by the Central and Western New York Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.  El Dorado is directly adjacent to Black Pond WMA and is accessible by walking north along the beach from the handicapped accessible boardwalk at Black Pond.

El Dorado can also be reached either from Route 3, or from Exit 40 on Interstate-81. From Exit 40, take Route 193 west to Route 3. Take a right on Route 3 and head north for four miles until you come to Stony Creek Road (CR 152). Take a left onto Stony Creek Road and travel 1.5 miles. Veer left onto Grandjean Road. Where the pavement ends, take the left fork at the "El Dorado Nature Preserve" sign. Park in the open grassy lot at the trail head.
