The Board of Trustees relies on volunteer committees to address pertinent issues before these are presented at Board meetings. In many cases, committee recommendations become agenda items. This policy streamlines the approval process, and permits greater opportunity to freely discuss the pros and cons of an issue in a more informal atmosphere.
All other committees meet at least once per month, and agenda items are brought forth by staff. All committee members are volunteers. In addition, each Trustee is appointed by the Mayor to be a Board liaison to particular committees. If you would like to volunteer for a position on one of the town committees, please send a letter of interest to Town Hall, P.O. Box 487, Mancos, CO 81328.
