"Super Girl" Holds First Concert in North America

Chinese "Super Girl" Zhang Liangying held her first solo concert at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 31,2007. The show attracted thousands of audiences, including loyal fans who followed her to Los Angeles from Hong Kong and Beijing.

Famous Japanese musician Kitaro was also on the scene to support the young star.

The 22-year-old gained nationwide popularity by taking the third place at the 2005 Super Girl singing competition, a show widely regarded as China's version of American Idol.
