Damp exterior wall
Hi i live in spain, single storey house semi detatched. The 1 exterior wall gets huge patches of mold inside mainly 1 foot from the ceiling and directly above the skirting. This happens in 2 rooms, the same exterior wall. It gets worse after a heavy downpour. I was told 2 paint latex solution on the interior wall 2 stop it coming through, but this does nothing and the damp still forms and a light powder now forms on the wall. Ive been keeping this at bay with a bleach solution but its never-ending. The exterior has no noticeable damage, and all guttering is clear and undamaged. Its a single concrete block wall. What would b the best method of tackling this? Also the loft ventilation ducts were intentionally blocked?? Y would this b done? I hav unblocked them, will this help at all. Thanks for any help in advance. Sorry if i left any needed details out. Please help

RE: Damp exterior wall
Question, solid concrete block wall or hollow concrete block?
Observation. The wall is wet, perhaps intermittantly, at both the top and bottom but not in the middle. Curious, the wall at the top must be getting wet from the roof and gutters. At the bottom it could be the result of rainwater splash from the same roofing defect.
Suggestion, go outside during the heavy downpour and see if all is well with the gutters etc.
Keep us posted as to your investigations.

What will work best is to bring enough dry air from outside inside the rooms to minimize the air dampness, warming up the walls by better heating and cover them by lime wash, having a pH greater than 7 - alkaline and works antiseptic. To remove the mould I recommend alcoholic sprit about 97%, this will take out the water and so the mould will be killed completely.
