A wonderful mod with superb attention to detail. I don't think I've ever seen a module city more vibrant, more real than Almraiven. Every little thing helps: from the dinars to the clothes to the potion-brewing and spell components. The subquests are all quite delightful, every area is unique (the atmosphere is excellent, helped by the selection of custom music and placeables and the tileset), every NPC distinguished. (Though I'll echo the sentiment regarding the SetName function; it'd have made things a lot less tedious.) Funnily, though, I found the subquests and exploration a lot more interesting than the main quest (with the exception of the Chamber of Thought segment -- I really liked that one, and thought the NPCs in the society are some of the most well-done in the module). The central plot is a bit weak in that respect, though I don't mind its linearity.
The day/night cycle adds to the atmosphere, but occasionally, I find it something of a nuisance. Because of this, I had to consult the walkthrough heavily. Still, it does make sense that people wouldn't be standing around in the streets at night when there're rumors of nocturnal horrors goin

Retired from NWN module building 2007-01-24 & entered Hall of Fame 2007-03-02 and returned again 2007-09-27. Is still a member of NWN-Vault but no longer support bug fixes for his old modules, since he is still partly retired. Sorry.
