At the School of Management and Business we offer you a select portfolio of Masters degree programmes in Finance:
Our Masters programmes in Accounting and Finance and International Finance are recognised as advanced programmes by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and offer either a specialist pathway, or an integrated research training pathway for progression into PhD studies.
The specialist pathway will enable you to progress directly into professional employment in the financial world. The research training pathway will enable you to contribute to the research expertise represented at our school and in most cases, attract research funding.
Our Masters in Finance programmes welcome students from related academic disciplines. You will have the opportunity to develop exceptional knowledge and professional skills relating to Finance and Accounting. You will have the opportunity to combine your understanding of Finance and Accounting in practice with related disciplines in Management and Business. You will have the opportunity to develop your own unique combination of skills and knowledge to achieve your career aspirations. You will have the skills, competence and confidence to enter the competitive world of Finance.
The first semester is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the principles Finance and an understanding of excellence in professional practice. The second semester is characterised by your own selection of elective modules, your own unique application and your own identification of application environments.
