formed in CMF by reconstitution and amalgamation of
11th Battalion (The City of Perth Regiment), and 44th Battalion (The West Australian Rifles)
1960.07.01 A Company (The City of Perth Company), 1st Battalion, The Royal Western Australia Regiment
1966 11th Battalion, The Royal Western Australia Regiment
re-formed by expansion of the single-battalion regiment
1977 11th Independent Rifle Company, The Royal Western Australia Regiment
1987 amalgamated with 28th Independent Rifle Company, to form 11th/28th Battalion, The Royal Western Australia Regiment
