Real entries later, but I finally had a chance to put together a proof of concept IAM page to RSS feed generator (so you can take your IAM page as a whole and easily insert it into a WordPress blog or other CMS) that also does some cool stuff like rename your images so that they’ll rank better in search engine traffic and stuff like that, as well as being able to do selective date ranges and other nice little tweaks.
Unfortunately in the process of doing this I discovered that the utility that was provided to let you download your images from IAM isn’t completely functional* and has been leaving out images (so your download may not be complete)… I can probably write a scraping bot to bypass this but I’ve let “them” know how to correct the bug since I don’t have access; if I get a reply I’ll update this entry to reflect that it’s been fixed and release the tool.
* Note to would be programmers: the best thing you can do to decrease bugs is learn to test your code in all possible input scenarios, and not just assume it works because it doesn’t crash.
