A warm and friendly welcome makes it a pleasure to visit the Anstruther Fish Bar. Beautiful, freshly cooked fish & chips makes it a certain stop every time we make the journey north of the border.

Anstruther Fish bar is a family run business. Run by Mr & Mrs Smith. The food is always fresh, It's normal for the fish being served to been caught only a few hours earlier. It isn't uncommon for a queue to form outside the fish bar. This may put some people off going to the Anstruther Fish Bar, for me it only confirms how good the food really is. The staff are very friendly and polite. Who eats there? it's very popular with the locals and returning tourists, not to mention celebrities. I heard that they even served up fish suppers to royalty in the last month. It's not often that happens to just any fish bar.

Had a fish supper there last night, for the first time, and it was definitely THE best fish & chips I've ever had - the fish was light and the chips were perfect!! This fish shop came highly recommended, we were told to visit it before we even moved up here, by people who have already made a visit!

friendly staff, cheery atmosphere and outstanding quality of fresh local ingredients make this place a must visit when in Scotland. We have been coming here for years and the standards are increasingly better than ever. Officially No1 in Scotland and No2 in the UK - what more can you ask for? Well, 1st in the UK, I suppose!

Good fish and other deep fried food, perfectly prepared by friendly staff from a varied menu at a very popular and very busy outlet, whether sit-in or takeaway

The 30 minute drive each week for our fish suppers is worth it - even with the half hour queue some nights. This is sheer quality on a plate (well, in a box!) - veniburgers from nearby Deer Farm are a nice change from fish and chips. A true taste of Fife!

Have spent many a day watching the local creel boats bringing in their catch to the Anstruther Fish Bar. A lobster supper sitting by the marina is to die served with sunny Scottish weather - sadly lacking at the moment!

Certainly the best fish and chips we have ever had - they're not the best Fish & Chip Shop in Scotland 2006/07 for nothing! The recent visit by HRHs The Duke & Duchess of Cornwall (Charles & Camilla!) are testament to the Fish Bar's quality.
