Aussie Sharks down Croatia

Australia has finished the men's Olympic water polo tournament in ninth place, after defeating Croatia 8-7 in its final classification match in Athens.
The Sharks led 2-0 at half-time but survived a second-half surge from the Croatian side.
In other classification matches, Germany beat Spain 9-8 to clinch fifth place, while the United States downed Italy 9-8 to finish in seventh position.
The US had beaten Australian 6-5 yesterday to move into the play-off for seventh and eighth place.
