About Ipsos MORI

Green Policies

Ipsos MORI is committed to the principles of sustainable development and environmental stewardship. In all of our business operations we recognise our obligation to improve our environmental performance and contribute positively to the local and wider community in which we operate. We are committed to:

Waste and recycling
Staff are trained to encourage specific actions that minimise waste and encourage recycling.
There are clear and accessible recycling points on all floors of our buildings.
Toner cartridges are recycled for charity.
Unwanted PCs are donated to be reconditioned and used by charities.
Internal envelopes are reusable.
Ipsos MORI has signed up to the Mayor's Green Procurement Code for London, committing us to proactively purchasing recycled products, including paper and stationery, with help and advice from London Remade.
All clients are offered recycled paper proactively by Ipsos MORI for their project.
Resources
The use of energy efficient light bulbs wherever possible.
All photocopiers have timers to switch off if not in constant use.
All PCs are compliant with the relevant standard for energy efficiency.
The installation of efficient heating and hot water systems.
The use of cisterns which minimise water use.
Staff are trained in energy efficiency.
Transport
Ipsos MORI provides bike storage and shower facilities for employees who commute to work using a bicycle.
Employee car parking is not subsidised.
Interest-free loans for public transport season tickets are available to staff.
Procurement
Ipsos MORI has signed up to the Mayor's Green Procurement Code for London. Now supported by over 138 London organisations, the Mayor's code sets a series of standards for the purchasing of goods which we will adhere to.
Ipsos MORI is advised by London Remade on the purchase of recycled paper and stationery products.
Staff training and awareness
This Policy is incorporated into Ipsos MORI's Quality Policy and training.
The Sustainability Policy is promoted among staff, through staff networks and available on the Intranet and website.
Training is available for key members of staff involved with environmental performance via London Remade and the Mayor's Green Procurement code.
A 'green' week to compliment Tidy week.
