April 1: Sky jumper: Ross Mercer is a young man from the Yukon on a mission. He's already known around the world for the stunts and maneuvers he can perform on a snow machine. Now he wants to set a world record. Travel with him as he prepares to do what no human has managed to do before. Will he make it? Find out, on Country Canada, April 1.

April 8: Race Rocks ecological reserve. It's been ten years since we last visited this magical place. When Country Canada last travelled to this unique habitat, it's future was in doubt. Meet the people who protect its future, and the young students from around the world who benefit from this "living" classroom. April 8, on Country Canada.

March 4th: The Ghost of Charron Lake.
An elite team of volunteers trys to recover a rare aircraft from the bottom of a lake deep in the Manitoba wilderness.
Here's what Tom from Nova Scotia had to say: " The Ghost of Charron Lake. Great story, it's good to see my tax money spent for a good story. You guys are keeping Canada's history alive."
Visit the Fokker Aircraft Recovery website for more information about the ongoing recovery process.
You can also find more information on the Canadian Aviation Museum website.  The museum is a co-sponsor of the recovery project and will be the future home of the recovered Fokker Aircraft.

A
Country Canada exclusive.
Meet, for the first time, the Captain and owner of the Melina and Keith II, a Newfoundland fishing vessel lost at sea. He's never spoken publicly before about the sinking of his ship, the loss of four crew members, including his own brother, or the charges he faces.
Why did it take the Coast Guard so long to rescue the survivors? This Country Canada Special Report will air Monday, February 26 on The National.

We hope you enjoyed Tree Planters...
Each year thousands of young Canadians try it...only an elite few make it all the way through.
Are you looking for some advice on tree planting?

March 25: Pre-empted
*** Then April 1 join us for a brand new episode of Country Canada you won't want to miss!

Roger Lacasse, one of the roughest, toughest bareback riders in Canadian rodeo history, has done it again! At the recent IPRA Rodeo Championship in Oklahoma City, Roger finished second overall. Here's what one viewer had to say about our story on the cowboy from Quebec:
Norma wrote to say: "I think that Mr. Lacasse's achievements deserve to be acknowledged. It takes a tremendous amount of commitment to be a rodeo cowboy on both the cowboy and his family. Kudos to both."

THIS SEASON'S PREVIOUS PROGRAMS:

Harbour Breton Update

The Harbour Breton fish plant re-opened on December 13th! Owner Bill Barry says upgrades to the plant cost much more than originally expected. The good news,  Dave Hickey and two of our other Calgary transplants have returned to work! They'll wait and see how much processing the fish plant attracts, before deciding to go away to work again.

Sally Nielsen Update
Sally takes a peek.
Sally Nielsen says she's been given a new lease on life after the kindness of strangers from across the country. Here's how one couple responded to seeing  her story on Country Canada.

Viewer Email
" No doubt the vast majority of your viewing audience is like us. We love your program but never take the time to let you know. After watching the November 5 program about Sally Nielsen we figured it was time to write. Her story, like most of your work, was moving and inspirational. What sets your program apart is the fact that you seem to capture the texture, the character and the natural essence of Canada's people. You capture the heart of your subjects and let us experience what they do."

"Your work is truly appreciated."
