I … am … Beowulf! How could is the new animated movie “Beowulf” looking? So cool that I’ve even forgotten it has a nekkid Angelina Jolie (or at least, her animated stunt double) in it, and instead I’m focusing entirely on all the cool action sequences that director Robert Zemeckis will be able to give us now that he doesn’t have to worry about, you know, killing hist cast and crew and whatnot. It’ll be interesting to see if an American filmmaker can take full advantage of all the possibilities inherent in animation like the Japanese have been doing for years now. We shall see. Until then, here are some new and old “Beowulf” movie posters that showed up online.
In the age of heroes comes the mightiest warrior of them all, Beowulf. After destroying the overpowering demon Grendel, he incurs the undying wrath of the beast’s ruthlessly seductive mother, who will use any means possible to ensure revenge. The ensuing epic battle resonates throughout the ages, immortalizing the name of Beowulf.
Starring Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn, Brendan Gleeson, and directed by Robert Zemeckis.
