Columba Catholic College

Columba Catholic College traces its history to 1876 when its Primary section was established.
The College caters for day students from the City of Charters Towers and the surrounding Dalrymple Shire, as well as having a special responsibility towards its boarding students.
The boarding community welcomes its residents from geographic locations as far west as the Northern Territory and Northern Western Australia, plus coastal and Gulf Regions of Queensland. Columba Catholic College provides a caring and safe environment removed from the distractions of large city schools, but close enough to take advantage, when necessary, of the cultural, sporting and higher educational facilities in nearby Townsville.
While at Columba, students are offered a commitment to excellence in all areas - educational, social, spiritual, cultural. There is a particular commitment to developing young people towards responsible Christian citizenship.
