Vodafone Germany obtains restraining order against T-Mobile iPhone sales
Update: Dow Jones has now clarified the situation. A Vodafone spokesman says, "The preliminary injunction filed in Hamburg doesn't mean Telekom will have to cease marketing the product immediately." Deutsche Telekom is the parent of T-Mobile Germany. He goes on to say, "We're not taking any plans to replicate these actions anywhere else, or in the U.K."

Well, since I happen to understand German I'll try to clarify it a bit more (well actually I read the news in Dutch :-P)
Vodafone has asked the court in Hamburg whether T-mobile is allowed to do this, an answer is expected in two weeks. Next to that Vodofone claims that allready 5000 customers are calling with an IPhone on their network.

I just don't get it... Release unlocked iphones and allow whoever to buy it if they have the money. This, in turn would make more money for Apple than just limiting their audience to one carrier. Am I missing something?
Until then, RIM has my money... but I really want an iphone... :(
