Asian American Magicians Have the Magic Touch
Grace Tzeng, Sep 28, 2007 It was a night of illusion and mysticism, with psychological games, ventriloquists, acrobats and audience participation. Asian American magicians Andrew Ngo and Carlos da Silva II, along with members of multiethnic magic group Prophecies of the Element, took the top three spots at San Francisco’s 10th annual Stage Magic Competition on Sept. 21.

Moon Festival Kicks Off Autumn and Brings Chinatown to Life
Sep 21, 2007 Chinatown will be bustling with excitement as energetic lion dances, scrumptious mooncakes, and more than 100 community, arts and crafts, commercial and food booths, fill its streets for the 17th annual Autumn Moon Festival.
The event, which draws 100,000 people annually, is free and will take place on Sept. 22 and 23.

The festival, which honors those who passed away during the year and commemorates ancestors, included Taiko by San Jose Taiko, silent auction, food festival, children’s art exhibit and a history of Buddhism, which originated from China.
