Bullet update

It is with huge regret that Bullet For My Valentine announce that they will no longer be able to play the following dates:

JUN 29 - SPAIN, Bilbao w/ Metallica
JUN 30 - GERMANY, Freiburg, MTV Campus Invasion
JUL 3 - UK, London Islington Academy, Jeff Killed John
JUL 5 - AUSTRIA, Vienna w/ Metallica
JUL 8 - UK, London Wembley Arena w/ Metallica

Frontman / lead singer Matt Tuck was due to have a tonsillectomy mid July but, due to unforeseen complications, the operation had to be brought forward at the last minute at the advice of Matt's doctor. Matt is recovering well but has been ordered not to sing for a minimum 4 week period, which means that the band have no choice but not to play the shows listed above.

The band are hugely disappointed but will be going back into the studio as soon as Matt's health is back to 100% to put the finishing touches to the highly anticipated follow up album to The Poison, due out late 2007.

Matt Tuck was unable to speak but wrote from his bed:

"If I'd known my tonsils were going to cause me to miss shows like these I'd have fucking ripped them out myself long ago. I am totally gutted at not being able to play these shows and the only consolation the boys and I can take from it is that we are now fully focused on the album and we'll be back in the studio as soon as the doctors say I can sing again. I truly can't wait for you fuckers to hear it!"

KERRANG "HIGHER VOLTAGE"

Bullet have contributed their cover of Metallica's 'Creeping Death' to the latest Kerrang 'Higher Voltage' covermount issue, in your shops now.

Matt Tuck (vocals/guitar): ''We chose this song as we pretty much knew all the parts as we used to play it years ago before we got signed. We only spent about eight hours on it from setting up to mix so we're so happy how it came out. It's pretty fucking heavy! I'm sure Lars (Ulrich) and the boys will check it out, they loved our 'Welcome Home (Sanitarium)' cover from last year's Kerrang! 'Remastered' album so maybe we'll get to jam it with them on the upcoming summer tour!''

From Kerrang:

Fifteen of rock's hottest bands have contributed cover versions of classic songs for the second instalment of Kerrang! magazine's free 'High Voltage' CDs.

'Higher Voltage' - which includes exclusive recordings by Lostprophets, Bullet For My Valentine, Aiden, Fightstar and yourcodenameis:milo plus rare covers by Funeral For A Friend and Gallows - will be given away free with Kerrang! issue 1164, which goes on sale June 20.

''We had such an amazing response to our 25th birthday 'High Voltage' CD that we figured it'd be a good idea to do it all over again,'' says K! editor Paul Brannigan. '' 'Higher Voltage' is quite possibly the best Kerrang! CD ever.''

Kerrang!'s 'Higher Voltage' features the following tracklisting:

Lostprophets 'Davidian' (Machine Head)
Aiden 'Drain You' (Nirvana)
Fightstar 'Breaking The Law' (Judas Priest)
Bullet For My Valentine 'Creeping Death' (Metallica)
The Automatic 'Epic' (Faith No More)
Funeral For A Friend 'The Boys Are Back In Town' (Thin Lizzy)
Madina Lake 'Today' (Smashing Pumpkins)
Sign 'Youth Gone Wild' (Skid Row)
The Audition 'Livin' On A Prayer' (Bon Jovi)
Soulfly 'Beautiful People' (Marilyn Manson)
The Blackout 'My Generation' (Limp Bizkit)
Yourcodenameis:milo 'Feel Good Hit Of The Summer' (Queens Of The Stone Age)
Darkest Hour 'Nazi Punks Fuck Off' (Dead Kennedys)
Gallows 'Nervous Breakdown' (Black Flag)
Bring Me The Horizon 'Eyeless' (Slipknot)
