For more than 100 years, The Minnesota Daily has served as a central and invaluable part of the University of Minnesota community. As one of the largest college newspapers in the nation, and one of the very few that are entirely student-operated, we are proud to provide relevant news and in-depth reporting to the campus community.

With the help of positive mentors and financial contributors, the Minnesota Daily Alumni Association is able to provide future Daily student-employees the same unparalleled training so many before them received. For our student staffers, The Minnesota Daily is the premiere training ground for successful careers in journalism, as well as management and advertising.

It helps to build and sustain The Minnesota Daily’s reputation for excellence.

In 2007, an endowed scholarship fund was established to provide scholarships for top student staffers for decades to come. The endowment is invested by the University of Minnesota Foundation for long-term growth and stability. In addition, the School of Journalism & Mass Communication has established a $100,000 match challenge fund. For a limited time, this means for every $1 you give, the SJMC will give another $1 to double the impact of your gift.
