Cast on 130 stitches (using 2 strands of yarn held together). Knit in garter stitch until there are 5 ridges on each side.

Begin windmill pattern, placing markers between repeats.

Knit the windmill pattern 13 times or until desired length.  After using up the first 2 skeins of yarn, I had knitted 6 ½ repeats. ( I wanted to make the afghan as long as possible and use up the yarn, so I completed 13 repeats and then knitted the garter stitch edging.)

Then knit in garter stitch for nine rows, and bind- off in knit.
