ArrowCorps5 Reservation Deadline

To ensure the ArrowCorps5 spaces desired, each council must send the Council Contingent Coordinator Appointments (Form A) to the national OA office by November 15. Please refer to the Council Contingent Reservation Packet for more information.

October 2007 Operations Update October 2007 Operations Update

The national Order of the Arrow committee has been granted limited permission to use the U. S. Forest Service logo on its ArrowCorps5 memorabilia. Sections, lodges, chapters and councils do not have permission to use the logo.

National Bulletin September 2007 - November 2007 National Bulletin

The September 2007 - November 2007 issue of the National Bulletin is now available online. This issue includes a recap of the 2007 National Conservation and Leadership Summit, more ArrowCorps5 information focusing on the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, Scoutreach, and a summary of the 2007 high adventure programs.

ArrowCorps5 Registration Packet

The Council Contingent Registration Packet has been sent to council offices and is also available for review online, including all the information you need to know to signup. Please continue to the ArrowCorps5 Promotional Area and learn more about your summer of 2008!

2008-2012 Strategic Plan

As Scouting's National Honor Society and as an integral part of every council, our service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults will be models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich the lives of our members and help extend Scouting to America's youth. The 2008-2012 Strategic Plan focuses on these key traits assisting lodges with promoting these ideals and endeavors. August 2007 Operations Update

The Order of the Arrow policy on lodge pocket flaps appears on page 58 of the Order of the Arrow Handbook. Several clarifications have been added to this policy.

2007 National Officer Interviews

The national OA web site staff talked with the 2007 National OA Officers. We asked each of them to answer some questions about the OA and their experiences. Find out more about our key youth leaders.

OA LodgeMaster Online

The OA LodgeMaster project created two new tools to help lodges track and manage membership in an easy, yet powerful way. These tools are OA LodgeMaster Desktop, a software program which stores and tracks membership, and OA LodgeMaster Online, the companion website which stores and synchronizes membership data from the desktop client.

Silver Buffalo Recipient

Congratulations to Tico Perez, National Order of the Arrow Committee member, recent recipient of the Silver Buffalo.

2007 Revision Guide to Inductions

This guide brings together all aspects of the induction process and provides a suggested structure for the inductions committee to follow. It provides the current policies and is filled with information about the inductions process from the Unit Election, to Call-Out, through the Ordeal, and on to Brotherhood. The 2007 revision added a number of new items, and made numerous revisions and updates throughout the document.

2006 Quality Lodge Recipients

Congratulations to the 2006 Quality Lodge Recipients recognized during the 2007 Lodge Recharting process. The Quality Lodge program recognizes a level of excellence in lodge program and operation.

Field Operations Guide, 2007 Revision

The newly updated Field Operations Guide is available for download. This guide provides details on tne OA National and Regional Organizations, Section Rules, Lodge Assistance Program, Section Conclave Guidelines, and Section Training.

CTI - Session 6: Supporting the Council

During the National Planning Meeting the Training subcommittee released Session 6 of the Conclave Training Initiative, Supporting the Council . "The Lodge's Role in Council Support". Session 6 focuses on how a lodge can assist and support their local council. The training also touches on several requirements for obtaining Quality Lodge certification in 2007.

New Scoutreach Mentoring Booklet

A new Scoutreach Mentoring Booklet is now available for download. The booklet includes information on the Scoutreach Mentoring program as well as forms to be used in the process.

Leadership in Service Award

In recognition of the Order of the Arrow's heritage of service, the National Order of the Arrow Committee created a new Leadership in Service Award. Arrowmen can earn the award in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
