Serie B minnows Ravenna have appointed former Triestina boss Franco Varrella as the replacement to Dino Pagliari.
A home defeat against Rimini left the Emilia-Romagna outfit in penultimate spot and cost Pagliari his job, despite his heroics in leading the Bruno Benelli side to an unexpected promotion last term.
Pagliari was the fourth Cadetti tactician to lose his post after Grossetos Giorgio Roselli, Piacenzas Gianmarco Remondina and Cesenas Fabrizio Castori.
New man Varrella has a long Serie C pedigree, but he has struggled at second tier level and had a miserable period at Triestina last season.
He beat competition from former Juventus legend and Arezzo boss Antonio Conte.
The Rimini-born Coach begins his spell at the club with a testing trip to Sicilians Messina.
