Default WTF is this? Canada duped again!

First we dont get it when it first came out on the 20th of November, I can deal with that. Aslong as the price doesn't go up I'm good with that. Oh wait, what. $199 for the game now? It seems true. And wait what? The games has been delayed until the 28 of December.

What kind of **** is this?

Is this the new Canadian Release date or is this the soonest Futureshop can sell it?(BTW Bestbuy.ca has the same thing). And what about the price? That is a rediculus price for it. A whole 30 bucks more? Our dollar isn't that ****y right now.

By "you" I assume you're referring to Harmonix? The suggested retail price for the Canadian bundles is $169.99.

Online stores are not a reliable place to find official release dates or prices.

by "you" i meant anyone with insight into this. And thank-you for the extremely quick reply, Much appreciated. But can the store jack up the price like then when they know demand is high and supply is low? And is the release date still December 20th?

Funny thing is that this link here for their promotion:

http://www.futureshop.ca/marketing/r...st/contest.asp

Shows that the suggested retail is 169.99... Sort of shows how FS likes to screw its customers Also shows contest ends on Dec 20th (their previously noted release date).

Stores do not have to sell items at the suggested MSRP. Case in point... sales. However, its very rare that a store will sell it for more than the MSRP, but I've seen it before :/.

For luxury goods (Like video games and jewelry), yes. People just won't buy it.

For necessities (Bread and gas), no. These things can't be sold at "opportunistic" prices.

At least, that's how it works in the US. Maybe you socialists do something crazy

Exactly what other time would you want to jack up the price? When the demand is low and the supply is high? ... I don't think so.

Of course they can set their price high(er) if the demand is high and the supply is low, it makes perfect logical sense.

Don't buy from them, simple as that.

Looks like Canadians are going to have to pay extra so Activation can recouped their lost of all the defective apparel they had to replaced in the US. Way to go HMX and EA.
