Wow. Well said, superallye. I TOTALLY agree. If I had a time machine, I would go back to the 40s...No question! Just to see FS at the beginning of his career. I've always said if I could have lived at a different time, it would be in the 40s!!

Frank Sinatra - 27 years old here.... did he even know what he would become? I think he did...he knew, as I think most people knew, that he was destined for greatness... there will never be another Sinatra. Ever.

I totally agree! I love all of the big band music from back then, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby... I really think I should have lived back then

I know that,I research World War 2 and 1. Do you think you could tell me a bit about it? I think the best World War 2 info is from person who witnessed it at the time.

With some minor alterations, this is essentially the same arrangement of "Stardust" that Sinatra recorded with the Tommy Dorsey band in 1941. Here, Frank is accompanied by his cohorts from "Your Hit Parade," including conductor Mark Warnow. This public domain footage comes from the "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco" promotional film (full movie available at www.archive.org). (less)
