THE MARY PAGE
The Blessed Virgin in our Lives

Immaculate Conception

Young girl of faith from Galilee:
so human, so prone to motherhood,
craving life, yearning Yahweh to see
a world more softened |
… as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, through these we can be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped corruption that is in the world through lust.
-2 Peter 1:2-4
Young girl of faith from Galilee:
so human, so prone to motherhood,
craving life, yearning Yahweh to see
a world more softened,
and mellowed to good.
To El, the One, she often went,
begging with filled heart yet untouched,
promising escape of gripping self …
so engulfed in hope--
her being thus blessed.
Blessed is she who never walked in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stood around with sinners, nor ever doubted,
for her delight was in the law of the LORD,
and in this truth she meditated day and night.*
All holy, hers a tenderness
in insight, and sensitive pleading,
needing forgiveness for her people,
then encountering
Presence in her depths.
Her image: God burns, God is …
Energy radiant in being
Life in essence, so this being loves:
super explosion,
covenant, freeing.
Unleashing agape’s energy,
beaming compassion within her,
throughout her person, awesome wonder.
Once we were alone,
cold in Hades under.
Virgin heart streaming with bride’s love shown,
plunged in fathoms of mystery,
Mary, she … pure in the presence,
… holy in El’s home –
dwelt in a place called temple,
glory’s place, spiritual well,
drinking virtue like none,
dwelt happy with the one,
prompting salvation’s history.
Sweet Panagia, how you knew!
You loved, you slept, and you whispered
your love songs to him,
in God’s residence,
swaddling yourself in God’s home …
wrapped in Shekinah alone.
*Psalm 1
