Voting Open

September 14th, 2007

Douglas Adams once wrote that the world would end on a Thursday (it did, actually). But not this Thursday. Today, the Rails Rumble voting system goes live. Check out the badass applications built by our 92 qualifying teams, and Register to vote for your favorites. The polls will be open for 2 weeks, so get in there and make your voice heard now. There may be 92 killer apps, but only one can win the Title Belt. Go get em tiger.

Update: feel free to discuss your favorites here or on our forum!

Quick question: The community is going to decide the top 3 entries, but how are the other prizes going to be awarded? Best solo, best UI, most complete, most original, most practical... are these also being voted on by the crowd? Just curious. :) (I'm not sure what the voting system is like -- as a sponsor, I decided not to vote, so forgive me if I'm asking a silly question.)

@josh -- the voting system allows you to vote in each category, so determining category winners will be trivial. However, right now we're not reflecting category balances in the rankings. You never know which app will end up winning for most innovative, most useful, etc, which is part of what makes it fun.
